Smolensk State University provides visa support and registers the stay
of students from visa and visa-free countries entering Russia
with the aim of learning.
Upon entrance to the Russian Federation every foreign citizen must submit the following documents for migration registration within 3 working
days (according to the work schedule):
• The original of the identification document (passport).
• 2 copies of the identification document (passport). You
must have copies of pages with the photograph and surname, passport expiration
date and a border crossing mark.
• The original of the migration card with a border crossing
mark (if you have it).
• 2 copies of the migration card with a border crossing mark
(if you have the migration card).
• The original of a single-entry visa (for visa countries).
• 2 copies of a single-entry visa (for visa countries).
• Education agreement.
• Tenancy agreement.
For registration of a multiple-entry visa in return for a single-entry one or visa extension a foreign citizen is obliged to come a month before the end of the previous student visa (according to the schedule
of work) and submit
the following documents:
• The original of the identification document (passport).
• 2 copies of the identification document (passport). You
must have copies of pages with the photograph and surname, passport expiration
date and a border crossing mark.
• The original of the migration card with a border crossing
mark (if you have it).
• 2 copies of the migration card with a border crossing mark
(if you have the migration card).
• The original of a visa.
• 2 copies of a visa.
• The receipt
of payment of the State Duty (1000 roubles).
• 4 colour photographs (3,5 х 4,5 cm),
matte paper.
Attention! We cannot accept your documents if you do not have all the necessary ones
or if any of them is completed incorrectly.
If a foreign or a stateless citizen violates the rules of migration at
the place of residence, in
accordance with Article 18.8.1 of
the Code of Administrative Offences,
it is punishable by
an administrative fine ranging from two thousand to five thousand roubles and with
or without administrative expulsion from the Russian Federation.
